The working format: a strap of full-grain leather folded around the ring and closed with a rivet or snap — the keychain that hangs from a belt loop, a bag, a hook by the door.

The fold is where this format lives or dies, so it is built deliberately: the strap is skived where it bends so the fold sits flat, the rivet is set through clean-punched holes, and snap versions use glove-grade snaps that open on purpose and never by accident.

The strap is prime debossing real estate — a long mark, a repeated motif, or a name reads beautifully down its length — and both edges are burnished the full way round.
